Technical Requirements
Canopy Radio uses modern Internet streaming technology to bring its audio broadcast to your computer. To use the Canopy Radio web player, you need:
- Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X or Linux
- A modern web browser with JavaScript enabled
- Apple QuickTime or an equivalent media player
The minimum requirements for each platform are:
Windows Computers:
- Intel Pentium processor-based or compatible computer
- 256 MB of RAM
- Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Vista or Windows 7
- Firefox 3, Internet Explorer 8, Opera 10 or Safari 5 with JavaScript enabled
- QuickTime Player 7 with browser plug-in enabled
Mac OS Computers:
- 400 MHz or faster G3 PowerPC-based or Intel-based Macintosh computer
- 256 MB of RAM
- Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later
- Safari 5, Firefox 3 or Opera 10 with JavaScript enabled
- QuickTime Player 7 with browser plug-in enabled
Linux Computers:
- Intel x86 processor-based or compatible computer
- 256 MB of RAM
- Linux kernel 2.6.32 or higher
- Safari 5, Firefox 3 or Opera 10 with JavaScript enabled
- MPlayer and mplayerplug-in
For optimum performance, it is recommended that you have a high-speed Internet connection, such as cable, DSL or T1, with a minimum speed of 256 Kbps.

Apple QuickTime is required to receive the Canopy Radio stream on Windows and Mac computers. If you do not have QuickTime installed you may download it from Apple. |

Linux Computers
Linux users should install MPlayer and mplayerplug-in. The easiest way to do this is to use your distribution's package manager. For example, Ubuntu users may use the Synaptic Package Manager to install the software. For additional details, go to:
